Description
The Chief Finance Officer will provide strategic financial leadership to ZESA Private Limited, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, commercial viability, effective capital and funding management, and fiscal discipline. The CFO will advise the Group Chief Executive Officer, Board and Shareholder on financial strategy and investment decisions, while driving the effective deployment of financial resources to support reliable and affordable electricity delivery, organisational transformation and sustainable value creation.
Requirements
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or a closely related discipline – mandatory. Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA or equivalent professional qualification/membership in good standing – mandatory. An MBA, MSc in Finance or equivalent advanced degree – preferred. Additional qualifications in Corporate Finance, Project Finance or Infrastructure Finance will be an added advantage. A minimum of 10 years of progressive post-qualification experience in finance and/or corporate finance. At least 5 years' experience at Chief Finance Officer, Finance Director or equivalent executive level within a large-scale, capital-intensive organisation. A proven track record in financial strategy, capital structuring, project finance, treasury and liquidity management, business transformation and financial turnaround. Demonstrable experience engaging with lenders, shareholders, regulators, Government institutions and other strategic stakeholders. Proven experience in securing and managing funding from multilateral development institutions, development finance institutions and international lenders. Experience in a utility, infrastructure, energy, mining, telecommunications, transport or similarly capital-intensive environment will be an advantage.
