Business Development Officer

Description

An opportunity has arisen from a leading Microfinance institution for the above-mentioned position. We are looking for a results driven Business Development Officer to drive client acquisition, grow the loan portfolio, and champion the institution's growth agenda in a competitive lending market. Key Duties Identify and develop new business opportunities, including corporate partnerships, payroll schemes, and SME lending. Grow the loan portfolio by sourcing, screening, and onboarding creditworthy clients. Build and maintain relationships with employers, associations, and key business partners. Execute marketing and customer acquisition strategies to expand market reach. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs. Assess creditworthiness and recommend loan applications in line with lending policies. Manage and monitor loan portfolios to maintain portfolio quality and minimize arrears. Market and cross-sell loan products, remittance services, and other financial solutions. Prepare reports on business development activities, portfolio growth, and performance metrics.
