Description

Supreme Brands is seeking a results-driven, disciplined and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Collections Officer. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Plan and execute daily/weekly customer visits and collection routes. - Follow up on overdue accounts through visits, calls and written reminders. - Negotiate payment terms and commitments within approved limits. - Escalate delinquent accounts and unresolved queries. - Collect and receipt payments in line with company policies. - Ensure safe handling, banking and reconciliation of collected funds. - Maintain accurate collection records and customer files. - Ensure compliance with credit policies, KYC and audit requirements.

Requirements

- Diploma in Credit Management, Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification. - A qualification in Credit Management is an added advantage. - At least 2 years’ experience in debt collection, credit control or customer accounts. - Valid Class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage. - Computer literacy, including knowledge of accounting systems. REQUIRED SKILLS - Negotiation and customer relationship management. - Planning and organisation. - Problem-solving and ability to identify reasons for non-payment. - High integrity and honesty. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
