Equals Solutions is a FinTech company that provides digital consumer credit management solutions to institutions. The company offers a comprehensive set of automated, insight-driven services to help financial institutions achieve the digital transformation of the consumer credit management journey. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the Systems Engineer post. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to producing and implementing functional software solutions on new and existing codebase. They will also be defining software requirements and taking the lead on operational and technical projects. Duties and Responsibilities: System Analysis and Solution Design - Analyse business and technical requirements, design scalable software solutions, and enhance existing systems to meet evolving business needs. Software Development and Enhancement Develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications and implement new features across on-premises and AWS environments. Process Automation and Innovation - Drive process automation initiatives and research emerging technologies to improve efficiency, system capabilities, and product innovation. Code Quality and Technical Excellence - Conduct code reviews, assess existing codebases, perform root cause analysis, and champion continuous improvement through software engineering best practices. Technical Governance and Documentation - Develop and enforce software development policies and standards while maintaining accurate technical documentation. Project Planning and Delivery - Contribute to work breakdown, effort estimation, sprint planning, and the successful delivery of software solutions. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing - Mentor and onboard new developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
