Description
A medium-sized gold mining company is seeking to recruit a hardworking and reliable Assistant Fitter and Turner to support the mechanical maintenance team in the installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance of mining machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will assist qualified fitters and turners in carrying out mechanical maintenance activities while developing practical skills in an industrial mining environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 Ordinary Level passes.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience.
- Class 3 Fitter and Turner Trade Test Certificate will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and workshop practices.
- Ability to read simple technical drawings and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in a mining or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
