Description
Principal Accountabilities • Performs metal fabrication and welding of structures and components • Interprets technical drawings and blueprints accurately • Cuts, shapes, and assembles metal materials using appropriate tools and techniques • Executes welding tasks ensuring strong and precise joints • Inspects completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards • Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition • Repairs and modifies existing metal structures as required • Adheres to all health and safety regulations and uses PPE at all times
Requirements
• Class 1 Journeyman qualification in Boilermaking/ Metal Fabrication • Minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience • Must possess own welding machine and toolbox • Must have own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including: 1. Reflective work suit 2. Anti-electrocution safety shoes 3. Hard hat 4. Safety glasses 5. Safety gloves • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • Strong attention to detail and workmanship • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Good understanding of safety practices in metal fabrication
