Description

Queensland Hydraulics is looking for an experienced hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter in a workshop (80%) onsite (20%) based role. In the workshop you will be responsible for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders (new cylinders), and repair work (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, test of rams), and hydraulic power unit assembly (pipework and hydraulic component fitting of new systems) and at site you will be responsible for pipework installations. Site accommodation and food is provided.

Requirements

Fitter trade with minimum 5 years experience Hydraulics experience would be an advantage (however we are willing to train the right person) Welding TIG & MIG Ability to understand production drawings and produce quality workmanship, on time and to stated tolerances Disassembly, repair, reassembly and testing of hydraulic cylinders Building Hydraulic Power Units Welding duties Overseeing and being a role model to apprentices within the workshop on learning and practising correct and proven Fitting methods
