A skills
Diagnosing and troubleshooting all mechanical failures and performing component repairs
Carrying out routine, scheduled and non-scheduled repairs and maintenance as required
Diagnosing mechanical issues and proposing appropriate action
Attending to breakdowns as per standard
Performing rebuilds and overhauls on major assemblies and accessories
Completing work order documentation after performing tasks
Identifying and ordering spares
Providing supervision and enforcing standards as per statutory requirements and standard work procedures.
Supporting and implementing the Business Management System (BMS).
Requirements
5 'O' level passes including Mathematics, English and Science
Apprentice trained Class 1 Motor Mechanic
A recognized technical qualification in Motor Mechanics preferably National Certificate. An HND/ND or City and Guilds will be an added advantage
5 years post-apprenticeship experience in maintenance of processing equipment in a heavy engineering environment.
Knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance systems
Knowledge of the Business Management System (BMS)
