Accountant

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or a similar role. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification: Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations. Attributes: High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines. Key Performance Areas Preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Management of the general ledger, including reconciliations and journal entries. Ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, Income Tax, and PAYE filings. Coordinating internal and external audit processes. Assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis to support departmental decision-making.
