Ensure that data infrastructure meets performance and reliability requirements. Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand their data needs. Implement data pipelines and ETL processes to facilitate data integration. Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow. Integrate data from various sources into the organization’s data infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Undergraduate/Honours degree in data engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Engineering is an advantage. 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role. Relevant design certifications in Zimbabwe. Certification in Google Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (AWS CDA), Google Professional Data Engineer (GCP PDE), or ITIL Foundation Certificate (ITIL FC) Experience working with real-time data streaming. Knowledge of relational and columnar databases, and data flow management.
