Diesel plant fitter

Description

National Cranes & Equipment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Plant Fitter (DPF) to join our Harare-based operations. The successful candidate must hold a Class 1 trade certificate, a valid Class 2 driver’s licence, and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing and maintaining heavy-duty equipment, with particular expertise in cranes, earthmoving equipment, forklifts, telehandlers, and trucks.Conduct routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on heavy-duty machinery. Diagnose and repair faults on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Test and inspect vehicles and machinery post-repair using Class 2 licence.

Requirements

Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter trade qualification. Valid Class 2 driver’s licence (required for vehicle testing). Minimum 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience working on cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, trucks, and earthmoving equipment. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure
