Diesel plant fitter

Description

Diesel Plant Fitters (DPFs) to fill two (2) positions within its drilling and blasting operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and repairing drilling equipment, with a strong focus on crawler drill rigs and compressors. - Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on crawler drill rigs, DTH rigs, and associated equipment - Diagnose, repair, and service high- and low-pressure compressors - Perform complete diesel engine overhauls, including strip-downs, inspections, and reassembly - Conduct fault-finding on diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems - Provide on-site troubleshooting in mining and drilling environments - Assist, when required, with maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles and trucks - Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately - Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards - Work closely with supervisors and operators to minimise equipment downtime
