Diesel plant fitter

Description

Diesel Plant Fitter to join our maintenance team in Harare. Perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing of excavation equipment, high-reach trucks, forklifts, and related machinery. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to ensure minimum downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to uphold equipment reliability and safety standards. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter qualification or equivalent trade certification. Minimum of 5 years proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, high-reach trucks, and forklifts (Hyundai brands experience preferred). Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
