Description

Establish policies, standards, and procedures for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating insurance-related risks. Analyze emerging and existing risks in underwriting, pricing, claims, reserving, and reinsurance. Conduct risk exposure evaluations and stress testing to assess potential impacts on the business. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including solvency standards, capital adequacy, and risk reporting frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17). Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and address inquiries related to insurance risk. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, the board, and relevant committees on insurance risk exposures and mitigation strategies. Develop and oversee the organization’s reinsurance strategy, ensuring optimal risk transfer arrangements and protection against adverse events." "Oversee the development and validation of insurance risk models, including those used for pricing, reserving, and capital assessment. Utilize advanced analytics to enhance risk monitoring and forecasting capabilities. Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and other teams to integrate risk management into business processes. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. At least 3 years in insurance risk management, including leadership roles within the financial services industry. Professional certification (e.g., Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, and risk modelling techniques. Expertise in underwriting, claims management, and reserving risks. Proficiency in risk management systems and actuarial software. Advanced Excel and VBA skills for ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
