Description

A mining company based in Harare is seeking an experienced and qualified Fitter to join its team. Key Responsibilities include conducting routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on mining and crushing equipment, maintaining and repairing various types of machinery, diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults, minimising equipment downtime, and ensuring safe operation.

Requirements

- Qualified Fitter with relevant technical qualifications. - Proven experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy industrial environments. - Hands-on experience with cone crushers, jaw crushers, water pumps, gearboxes, conveyor belts, bearings, shafts, pulleys, and related mechanical equipment. - Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs and preventative maintenance. - Knowledge of hydraulic systems will be an added advantage. - Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements. - Ability to work independently and under pressure.
