Description
The Credit Analyst will conduct deep-dive financial analysis and due diligence to ensure that only creditworthy facilities are onboarded, thereby protecting the institution from delinquency while supporting the growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive credit assessments for SME and payroll loan applications, analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and bank statements to determine borrowers' repayment capacity, and preparing high-quality credit recommendations for the Management Credit Committee (MCC).
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, or a related field. Professional qualification in Credit Management (e.g. IOBZ Diploma) or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in credit analysis or underwriting within a banking or microfinance institution. Strong financial analysis, credit assessment, and report writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Loan Management Systems. Good understanding of RBZ regulatory requirements and credit risk management.
