Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading player in the FMCG/food production sector seeking an experienced Assistant QA Manager to support the implementation and management of food safety and quality systems across operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Support implementation and continuous improvement of Food Safety & Quality Management Systems (FSMS) - Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and regulatory standards - Drive quality control across production, including inspections, testing, and product release - Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, non-conformances, and corrective actions - Support supplier quality management and audits (including raw materials and outgrowers) - Lead internal audits and act as a key contact for external/customer audits - Partner with cross-functional teams to drive quality and operational excellence - Support training and development of teams on quality and food safety standards

Requirements

- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field - 3–5 years’ experience in a similar QA role (FMCG/food production preferred) - Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, and quality systems - Lead Auditor certification is an added advantage - Experience in poultry/meat processing environments is a plus Key Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving ability - Attention to detail and high quality standards - Strong communication and training capability - Ability to work cross-functionally and drive compliance The Ideal Candidate A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of food safety systems and a proactive approach to quality improvement.
