Accountant

Description

A leading company in the stockfeed industry is inviting applications to fill the position of Accountant reporting to the Finance Executive. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to, Financial Reports: timeous delivery of periodic and ad hoc reports, Participation in operational and financial performance review meetings, Preparation of sustainability reports, Tax computations and reports. Working capital: Working capital management and projections, Continuous review of debtors and creditors term agreements. Budgets: Preparation of budgets and forecasts, Variance analysis. Systems compliance/audits: Introduction and maintenance of financial control systems to prevent fraud, pilferage and ensures weekly, monthly and year end stock takes are done. Ensure that the company adheres to all statutory returns. Responsible for both internal and external audits. Man management: Review of subordinates’ work to ensure that accurate information is reported, Training of subordinates and TOPP students, Come up with succession plans, conduct performance appraisals and recommend training programs. Fixed Assets: Maintain an accurate fixed asset register for the company, Ensure proper authorization of CAPEX items before acquisition, Ensure that asset disposal is done according to the policy.
